The Office of Public Affairs
The Office of Public Affairs serves as the primary communications and external relations office of the Native Village of Eyak. Our role is to ensure Tribal members are informed, engaged, and connected to the work of their Tribal government, while also representing NVE clearly and consistently to regional, state, federal, and intertribal partners. Through these relationships, Public Affairs helps advance Tribal priorities, support major initiatives, and ensure the Tribe’s voice is respected in decision-making spaces beyond our community.
What We Do
The Office of Public Affairs supports the Tribe by:
- Sharing Tribal news, announcements, and government updates
- Coordinating communications for Tribal programs, events, and initiatives
- Supporting major projects, such as Shepard Point, through clear public messaging and stakeholder coordination
- Managing media relations and public information requests
- Working with leadership and departments to strengthen transparency and alignment
- Supporting intertribal, regional, and federal engagement efforts
A Message to Tribal Members
We want to hear from you.

The more feedback we receive, the stronger our communication systems will be. Together, we can ensure Tribal news, opportunities, and important updates reach every member—wherever they live.
